Chappell went home to be with the Lord June 4 , 2018 at the age of 90.  Beloved daughter of the late Clyde and Sally Nolan; dear wife of the late Charles Chappell; loving mother of Patricia (Larry) Seymore, Jack Chappell and David (Karen) Chappell; dear grandmother and great-grandmother; dear sister of Paul (Barbara) Nolan and friend to many.

Hazel enjoyed crocheting, going to church, serving the Lord and her church family at Mercy Truth and Fellowship Church.

Mary E. Schumacher went home to be with the Lord April 30, 2018 at the age of 82. Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Bonnie Schumacher; loving aunt of Carla Goodwin and great aunt of Noah and Donovan Goodwin; and dear friend of Joy Collins.

Mary loved flowers and decorating, especially at holidays. She was a wonderful host and enjoyed making everything festive.

Catherine R. Pecha

1926 -2018


Catherine “Kay” R. Pecha, 91, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Atrium Post-Acute Care in Bloomer Wisconson.

Catherine was born on December 15, 1926, to George and Catherine (Ryan) True in St. Louis, Missouri.

She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, she also enjoyed having pot luck dinners and going out for breakfast. Most of all she enjoyed being a homemaker, mother, grandma and great grandma.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Barb) Pecha of New Auburn, WI, Steven Pecha of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Christie and Michelle; great grandchildren, Amber, Lauren, Liam, Alyssa and Mackenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Pecha; son, William Pecha; parents, George and Catherine True; siblings, Annie, Margaret, Lucille, Estelle and Rosemary, George and John.

Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Schriver-Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.

Norman D. "Doug" Crites

1953 - 2018

In the arms of Jesus March 19, 2018 at the age of 65.  Born In Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the beloved son of Louise Monroe Jinks and the late Norman W. Crites; loving husband of Patricia (nee Bowman) Crites; dear father of Sarah (John) Elmendorf and step-father of David Warmoth; dear brother-in-law of Sue (Dave) Hallett, Kevin Bowman and Rick Bowman; our dear nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Mr. Crites retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service he was a member of the local 110 UAW, he then enjoyed country music, world traveling and animals. He was smart, witty and charismatic. Doug was always very generous and knew how to throw a great party! He will be missed by all who knew him.

Beloved daughter of the late Eugene Beckner and Grace LaMaitre; dear wife of Bill Hollis, Sr. for 43 years; loving mother of Debbie (Allen) Blake-Vandiver, Eddie Jackson, Jr., Patricia Jackson, George Hollis and the late Steven Blake and Karen Jane Blake; dear step-mother of Missy Bellis, Karen Hollis, Deborah (Terry) Baker, Billie Jean Rose and Billy (Elizabeth) Hollis, Jr.; our dear grandmother; great-grandmother; sister-in-law; cousin and friend to many.

Patricia enjoying collecting knick-knacks, especially angels. She loved her family and would do anything for anyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Reverend Charles B. Thompson went home to be with the Lord February 28, 2018 at the age of 87.  Dear husband of Sharon Thompson; dear step-father of James (Kathleen) Kimbell, Mike (Tammy) Kimbell and Kay (Marty) Barton; our dear grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.

Reverend Thompson loved preaching the word of God, traveling,  watching westerns, and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Air force and the Army.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Wanda went home to be with the Lord February 23, 2018 at the age of 77. Beloved daughter of the late Wayland and Retha Wallace; dear mother of Michael Morgan, Jennifer Bell, Janette (Fred) Christian, David (Teri) Morgan, Martin Morgan, Wallace (Angie) King and Walter (Gynger) King; loving grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 20; beloved sister of Wayland (Sharon) Wallace and the late Debbie Casey; our dear aunt; cousin and friend to many.

Wanda treasured her time drinking coffee and talking with her friends, she also enjoyed watching her TV programs.  She took great pride in trying to keep all her kids in line and loved them all dearly, along with her church family at Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

Holmes passed away February 8, 2018 at the Lincoln County Nursing Home in Troy, Missouri at the age of 80.  Beloved father of Michael Holmes, Scot (Debbie) Holmes, John (Gretchen) Holmes, Chris Holmes, Nathan (Cindy) Holmes and the late Eric Holmes; dear brother of Madge Early, loving grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

His motto in life was "Search for the truth and that is what I recommend for everybody, only believe in what there is evidence for." He loved nature and spending time with his family.

Mr. Marcrum retired from General Motors, he was a long time member and deacon of Lafayette Park Baptist Church. He enjoyed taking care of others, was always giving rides and was there for everybody. He will be greatly missed.

Joseph Anthony Cafazza passed away peacefully January 20, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Gloria Sue Cafazza and six children, Annette Cafazza, Lynn Gregson (Rick), Joanne Wesloh (Al), Tony Cafazza (Traci), Jerry Cafazza (Mona) and Constance Cafazza.

Cherished grandfather to Stephanie Kleeschulte, Shannon Carico (Josh), Maggie McGrath (Kyle), Natalie Kastis (Nick) and Nika Cafazza. He was great grandfather to Josh, Bailey, Jack, Stefania and Alexandra, Luka, Niko, Johnny and Lola. 

He was preceded in death by grandson, Andy Wesloh.

Mary Ruth Keener went home to be with the Lord Januray 20, 2018, beloved daugher of the late Cecil and Delphia (nee Stewart) Headlee; loving wife of Darrell V. Keener for 54 years; dear mother of Kimberly Keener and Derek (Pam) Keener; dear grandmother of Josh Keener, Daniel Mian Keener, Sophie Keener and Emma Keener; dear sister of Carl Headlee, Robert Headlee and the late Charles Headlee; our dear sister-in-law; aunt; cousin and friend to many.

Mary loved everybody and she loved to laugh and smile.  She drove a school bus for 27 years and also loved her "kiddos" . She enjoyed her animals, especially Cricket and Pebbles. She was a long time member and servant at Grace Assembly of God Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ricky went home to be with the Lord at the age 62. The beloved son of the late A.W. Roettgen and Helen (nee Weissenbach) Roettgen, dear brother of Mary (Jim) Eaton and twin brother of Micky (Linda) Roettgen and the late Wayne Weissenbach; our dear uncle; cousin and friend to many.

Ricky enjoyed Southern Gospel music and inviting people to church, he loved his dogs and cats. He also loved his family and church family. He was a life long member of Prince of Peace Church.

Loving grandfather of 19 Grandchildren, 10 great -grandchildren; and a great-grandchild  due in February of 2018;  family and friends in Pennsylvania,Wyoming,Texas, Idaho, and Florida.  Proceeding him in death: his parents,  Emma Wilson and Charles Fletcher, and two brothers Sidney Baggett and George.
