Cheri C. Brumit, left this world peacefully Sunday, June 5, 2016 with family and friends by her side after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on March 1, 1948, in the city of St. Louis MO. at Bethesda Hospital. She was the daughter of the late, Lydia Rebecca (LeMond) Kauffeld, and Delmus Gerald Gobble.
She married Edward Theodore “Ted” Brumit on May 26, 1972. He passed away on May 29, 2001.
Cheri loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a green thumb and loved to work in the yard. She was a member of Community Christ Fellowship Church of Ferguson. She enjoyed camping, star gazing, bird watching, road trips, going antiquing and junk shopping, an avid reader, reading to her grandchildren, playing games, gardening, tending to her many house plants making them feel loved also.
Cheri worked as a secretary for Logos School and The Judivine Center. She retired from Mallinckrodt/Tyco as a customer service representative in 2009.
She is survived by six children, Cindy (Wayne) Menke of Union MO; Michelle (Ted) DeMaria of Overland MO; Kim (Daniel) Govero of Advance MO; Steve (Georgia) Brumit of Hazelwood MO; Debi (Andy) Brumit of Granite City IL; and Julie (Garret) Brumit of Riverview MO.
Thirteen grandchildren, Amanda Nagel, Cory (Ashley) Menke, Theodore Menke, Danielle (Marcus) English, Staci Licavoli, Zac (Tanya) Chandler, Alexis (Kyle) Chandler, Benjamin (Catarina) Menke, , Nicholas Niebrzydoski, Haley Wilson, Tori (TJ) Gintz, Bobby Daniel Brown, and Tristan DeMaria.
Two great grandchildren, Ryu & Ivory.
Six siblings, Lita Francis, Butch (Elizabeth) Gobble, Joy Jackson, Kevin (Lisa) Gobble, Mark (Mary) Gebhart, Brett Gobble, and dear friend Lynda Sharpe along with lots more family and many, many friends.
Cheri loved and was loved by all, she will be dearly missed.
