Terri Kissack Howell
1955 - 2016
Terri Kissack Howell was born in Kansas City, Kansas on July 2, 1955 to Harold Kissack and Maribelle Kissack Hogan. She was the youngest of three girls. Terri passed away on November 21st.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jerald Howell; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Sarah Howell; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Stephen Trout; two adoring grandchildren, Gavin and Megan Trout; mother, Mary Hogan; sisters Suzanne Phillips and Jane Ebel, multiple nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Terri was a voracious reader, loved history and always sought the truth. She was an accomplished seamstress, talented fencer, wonderful cook, avid gardener, active with living history and loved reenacting especially at Marrow Bone Springs. She was multi-lingual and very charitable volunteering her time in Ecuador with Amigos De Los Americas as well as multiple historic sites around the country.
Terri and Jerry loved to travel and see the world, recently traveling on a transatlantic cruise to Spain, Italy and Athens before their first trip to Disney World this summer with their grandchildren, who cherished the time together-they loved her so much.
She was passionate and vocal about equal rights and wanted to leave the world a better place for her daughter and granddaughter. She was intelligent and strong and not afraid to speak her mind.
She will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, a donation to one of Terri's favorite charities would be appreciated.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 5 pm til 7 pm At McLaughlin Funeral Home, Inc.
