1967 - 2019

Our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 15, 2019 at the age of 51.

Mike is survived by his mother, Ruth Tolliver Atkins, step-father, Ralph Atkins, his sons, Eric and Kevin Speece, and daughter, Cheyenne Burnia, daughter-in-law, Ching Speece, grandsons, Carson, Dakota and Samuel Speece, half siblings, Freddie II, Sheila, Daniel Burnia, Charlie, Irena and Tommy Speece and step-sister, Brandi Atkins, proceeded in death by his father, Tommy Speece.

Michael Thomas Speece was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Ruth Tolliver and Tommy Speece. He lived life to the fullest - Petal to The Metal! He loved spending time with family and friends, and was always ready for a food fight.  He was a reinventor, not only in himself and his life - he loved to take unwanted things and turn them into something new, useful and beautiful! He took solace in riding his bike and loved fishing and many other outdoor activities with loved ones. He will be truly missed.

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 2301 Lafayette Ave. St. Louis, Missouri until service time beginning at 7:00 P.M. The family welcomes all to attend and celebrate his life.
