Ronald T. Roark, age 82, passed March 22, 2020, Beloved husband of the late Dolly Roark; dear father of Ronald (Jan) Roark, David (Brenda) Roark, Daniel (Tonia) Roark and Gary (Mindi) Roark; loving grandfather; great-grandfather; uncle; cousin and friend to many.

Ronald served in the U.S. Army, was a member of Lafayette Park Baptist Church, and retired from Lever Brothers. He enjoyed hanging out at the doughnut shop with his buddies, watching T.V.  and spending time with his family.

1940 - 2020

Walter J. Lotz went home to be with the Lord March 5, 2020 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Carol Rose Lotz; loving father of Robin Romanchuk, Steve (Patty) Lotz and Andy Lotz; dear grandfather and great-grandfather to many; dear brother of Sharon Lotz, Jimmy (Nancy) Lotz, Larry Lotz and Judy Lotz; our dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Walter proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1959 to 1963. He enjoyed smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee and was a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He shared a love of pets with his late wife Carol.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Service: Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 12:30 P.M. Please meet at  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Administrative Building no later than 12:15 P.M.

1944 - 2020

Barbara Lockett went home to be with the Lord March 1, 2020 at the age of 75.  Beloved wife of the late Billy D. Lloyd Sherrick went home to be with the Lord February 21, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Delores Sherrick for 62 years; loving father of Warren (Tina Hasten) Sherrick; dear grandfather of Hunter Sherrick;  dear brother of Walter (Sharon) Sherrick, Owen Sherrick, Katherine (Dick) Wilson, and the late Mary Sherrick-Allen and George "Richard" Sherrick; our dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, he was an avid outdoors man and loved hunting and fishing. Lloyd was very mechanical and a "Jack of all trades."

1935-2020

Darrell V. Keener went home to be with the Lord February 17, 2020 at the age of 85. Beloved son of the late Evie and Edna Keener; loving husband the late Mary R. (nee Headlee) Keener for 54 years; beloved father of Kimberly Keener, and Derek (Pam) Keener; dear grandfather of Josh Keener, Daniel Keener, Sophia Keener and Emma Keener; loving brother of Freda Scott, Nina Hayhurst, Jack (Jean) Keener, Shirley (Carl) Hartley, Margaret Gotses, Marlyn Keener, Barbara (Tim) Haines, Carol (Cecil) McFarland and the late Betty Haines and Robert "Buck" Keener; our dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Darrell  will be fondly remembered for always having candy and a joke to share. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud of all of them.  He was a longtime and devoted member at Grace Assembly of God Church, and served in the U.S. Army.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dustin R. Baggett

December 3, 2003 - January 18, 2020

Dustin R. Baggett age 16 of Florissant, Missouri passed away January 18, 2020 at Children's Hospital in St. Louis. The loving  son of Clarence and Jessica Scott; loving brother of Kenneth Baggett and Chelsey Scott; cherished grandson of James and Gretchen Birdsall and James and Diane Matthews; dear nephew of Patricia Lake, Regina (Adrian) Hartfield, Katrena (Mark) Waites, Cecilia Birdsall, James Birdsall, Patricia Robinson, Jaymie Birdsall and the late Ashley Birdsall; our dear cousin and friend to many.

Dustin was a sophomore at Hazelwood West High School, he loved dogs, camping, playing basketball, bowling, playing video games and playing with his cousins. His favorite song was We Will Rock You by Queen. Dustin never met a stranger, he was always happy, smiling and giving high fives! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Maxine J. Smith

1932 - 2020

Maxine J. (Jaco) Smith went home to be with her heavenly father on January 1, 2020 at the age of 87.  She was born June 27, 1932 to the late Max and Florence (Conrad) Jaco in Jackson, Missouri. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Fred Jaco and Sister-In-Law, Rose Jaco.  Maxine attended Fulton School for the Deaf in Fulton, Missouri until the 5th grade, then moved to St. Louis and attended Gallaudet School for the Deaf. The loving mother of Robert Smith, Gary (Regina) Smith, Dan (Tom Skinner) Smith, Sheila (Mike) Wright, Sue Smith and Kevin (Alberta) Smith; loving grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother to many. 

Maxine cleaned offices, homes, and worked at Famous Barr sewing drapes. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting angels, doing assorted types of crafts, and playing bingo with the deaf community. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with them.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for the Deaf.

Merle L. McCain, Jr.

1947 - 2019

Merle L. McCain, Jr. went home to be with the Lord December 18, 2019 at the age of 72.  Dear son of the late Merle L. and Violet McCain, Sr.; loving husband of the late Shirley McCain; dear brother of the late Nordecia McCain; dear cousin of Valerie (Mike) Andrews, Lloyd (Debra) Davis, Jane Davis and many others.

Merle proudly served the U.S. Navy and the St. Louis City Police Department for 35 years. He enjoyed playing his guitar, going to the casino, dining out and was John Wayne's biggest fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Tony M. Atherton

1976 - 2019

Beloved son of Michael Atherton and Debra Burmeister; loving father of Natalie Atherton and Alex; dear brother of Jason Atherton, Mike Atherton, George Atherton and the late Terry Atherton and Christopher "Red" Burmeister; dear grandson of the late Avis Atherton, our dear nephew, uncle, cousin and friend.

Tony touched the lives of many and was loved by all.  He was devoted to family and treasured his daughter Natalie and step-daughter Alex.  Tony was a hard worker and could do just about anything.  His brother Jason fondly remembers the times when he needed help and he was always there for him, and he was there for a lot of people.  Born and raised in south St. Louis, more importantly, a good man to all and will be missed by many.

May 3, 1946 - October 11, 2019

The angels came for Linda G. (nee Griffin) Orellana on October 11, 2019. Her pain is gone and she is finally at peace.

Loving wife of Joe Orellana, dear twin of Glenda Gabriel and sister-in law of Robin Tate, loving mother of Russell Conklin and Kevin Romine; dear sister of the late Sara Griffin; loving dog mom to Lizzie, Mickey and Dylan

Linda was a dedicated Training Director in the hotel industry, she proudly served at Chase Park Plaza and the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis, previously from prestigious hotels in New York City such as The Swiss Drake, The Peninsula and The New York Plaza.

Linda loved travel and adventure, art and beauty. She was equally blessed with talents in painting, gardening and interior design.  She was a scuba diver and a pastry chef, and she was always known for her incredible sense of style.

July 12, 1958 - October 3, 2019

Terry went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2019 at the age of 61. Beloved son of the late Charlie and Peggy Tucker; dear father of Terry (Mandy) Tucker Jr., Sherrie(  Nathaniel)  Webster, Charlie Craig and T.J. Terry was a "Jokester" and loved making people laugh. He was an avid Cardinals and Blues fan. He enjoyed being at the beach and spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  A special thank you to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care.

December 22, 1935 - September 17, 2019

Beloved husband of the late Judith (nee Abenroth) Dyer; dear son of the late William and Martha Dyer; dear father of Sean Dyer and Laura Dyer; loving grandfather of Webster Dyer and Barbara Dyer; dear brother of Marshall (Faye) Dyer and Lynn (Bill) Ogden; our dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.  

Jack Dyer received his B.A. Liberal Arts in 1958 and his MSEd in 1962, both from Southern Illinois Univeristy. He began his career as a high school English teacher in Granite City, Illinois. He was the Public Relations Director from 1975 - 1982 for the St. Louis Public School System, Executive Director of University Relations, Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Director of Media Relations for SIU from 1982 - 2000,  In 1995, Jack helped found the "Crab Orchard Review," a renowned national journal of the SIUC Department of English, which awards the annual Jack Dyer Fiction Prize in his honor. His lifetime achievements also included being an editor for SIU Central Publications, McGraw-Hill in St. Louis and New York City.  He was a life member of the SIU Alumni Association

Mandi danced her last dance on September 2, 2019. Raymond L Menard, Jr. passed away August 16, 2019 at the age 52. Loving son of the late Raymond and Eleanora Menard, Sr.; loving husband of Marsha; dear father of Raymond (Elizabeth) Menard, Jr.; and grandfather of Raymond and Shelby Menard; dear brother of Regina (Bob) Wright, Walter "Roy" (Kay) Ruhl; Charles (Becky) Ruhl; Tina (John) Menard and Tracey (Keith) Portell and very loving uncle and great uncle of many.

Raymond was born and lived on the same street his entire life. He enjoyed fishing and hunting for "treasures" at yard sales. He never met a stranger and was always the first to help anyone in need. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandbabies.  If you knew him, he left you with a great memory. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ronald Lee McPherson

1955 - 2019

Ronald Lee McPherson, 64, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois, surrounded by his children and family. 

Ronald Lee McPherson was born in Piedmont, Missouri to Lee Roy and Joyce McPherson on March 21, 1955.   He graduated from East Side High School in 1973. Ronald McPherson was a devoted employee of Grandpa Pigeons for over 30 years.

Ronald Lee McPherson is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Joyce (Sparrow) McPherson; paternal grandparents, Floyd and Velma McPherson, maternal grandparents, Arthur and Mae Sparrow, his sister Catherine McPherson and brother Roy McPherson.

Ronald Lee McPherson is survived by his spouse Carol Sue McPherson; his children Paul McPherson of Wentzville, MO and Renae Gardner and Spouse David Gardner of Kingwood, TX. Ronald leaves behind 6 grandchildren Alec McPherson (14), Alicia Zamarron (12) and Landon Zamarron (11) of Kingwood, TX, and Anthony Gardner (15), Gabriella Gardner (14) and Grace Gardner (10) of Hastings, NE.   Living family members include: Brothers and Sisters: Raymond (Diane) McPherson of Fairmont, IL, Diana MacNutt of Belleville, IL, Cheryl Claus of Hollywood Heights, IL, David McPherson of St. Louis, MO, Mary McPherson of Hollywood Heights, IL, Daniel (Linda) McPherson of Highland, IL, and Matthew McPherson of Fairview Heights, IL and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 

Visitation:  Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 9 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.  at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 2301 Lafayette Ave. St. Louis, MO 63104

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday July 13, 2019 at McLaughlin Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

 Dear husband of the late Debbie Casby; loving son of the late Paul Casby and Louise Corpus; dear father of William Casby and the late Jackie Ruth Casby; dear brother of Regina Corpus, Walter Casby, Rudy Corpus and late Cora Burnia, Wanda Rodriguez, Janet Casby,  Butch Casby,  Corky Ines, Chuck Ines,and Jay Corpus; our dear grandpa, uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle and friend to many.
Jackie loved to fish, hunt, spend time with family and collect old things. He will be missed by many.
