Beloved Daughter of the late Mark and Edith (Rawlins) Asher; loving mother of Haley Fox, Joseph Schmidt, Jr., Keith Michael Douglas Schmidt and Mason Lee Meyer and their father Joseph Schmidt, Sr., cherished sister of Derick Asher and the late Keith Asher; loving granddaughter of Shirley A. Shelley was outgoing, energetic, full of life, laughter, a social butterfly and friend to all. She loved learning new things, taking risk, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Lauren M. Hatton

November 21, 2002 - December 3, 2018

Lauren went home to be with the Lord December 3, 2018 at the age of 16. Beloved daughter of Jennica Hatton; dear sister of Brandon, Aiden and Shawn Hatton; loving granddaughter of Peggy Hatton and Lee Lam; our dear niece, cousin and friend to many.

Lauren was very artistic. She loved music, singing, writing, drawing and spending (other people's)  money! She had a zest for life, a strong spirit, and a special gift of making all those around her smile.

Lauren was a freshman at Cahokia High School and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Andre Keraval

1940 - 2018

Andre Keraval died November 9, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Andre was born in Laz, France in 1940.  Throughout his life Andre's love of history led him to travel extensively but he finally made Saint Louis his home and loved being a resident of Soulard neighborhood. Andre is survived by his family in France, his brother Marcel, his sister-in-law Monique and his niece Elizabeth Cordes of Saint Louis.

Services: A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held December 8, 2018. Visitation 10:00 A.M. and Memorial Service beginning at 10:30 A.M. at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 2301 Lafayette Ave. St. Louis, Missouri 63104

Edna (nee Mitchell) Coleman went home to be with the Lord and loved ones October 31, 2018 at the age of 72.  Beloved wife of Danny Coleman for 51 years; loving mother of Danny (Lenee) Coleman, Timothy (Joe Doering) Coleman, Nathaniel Coleman, Cassandra (Brendan) Allen and the late Charlene Coleman; dear grandma; great-grandma; sister, aunt; cousin and friend to many.

"Miss Edna" founded the Lafayette Park United Methodist Church Preschool 37 years ago, she was a gifted teacher, a devoted wife and mother. She will always be fondly remembered by the WCDAN = We Can Drive at Night, also known as "Sisters By Choice"

Gail enjoyed dancing, singing and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her but her family rejoices that she is in heaven with her loved ones.

Went home to be with the Lord October 10, 2018. Beloved son of Daniel and Billie Jean (nee Hollis) Rose; dear brother of Cora, Taylor and Cameron Rose; dear grandson of Bill Hollis and Freddie Burnia; dear nephew of Missy Belles, Karen "NeeNee" (Freddie) Burnia, Jr.; Debbie (Terry) Baker, Billy (Elizabeth) Hollis, Jr., George Hollis and Eddie Jackson; loving uncle of Laila Rose; our dear cousin and friend to many.

Matthew graduated from Francis Howell High School in 2009. Matthew loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. He enjoyed working on cars and cherished his niece Laila and Cody and Brandy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Robert A. Preston

January 3, 1934 - September 11, 2018

Robert A. Preston passed away September 11, 2018 at the age of 84. Dear son of the late Eugene "Bud" and Rose Preston; beloved husband of Mary (nee Hurst) Preston, loving father of Cathleen (Tim) Schmidt, Margaret Koss, and Teresa (Wade) Lynn; dear grandfather of Billy Koss, Sarah Koss, Steven Murdock, Nicole Koss, Aimee DuVall, Luke Lynn, and Robert Schmidt;  great-grandfather; and dear brother and twin of the late Eugene "Gene" Preston.

Bob enjoyed going to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery and watching the deer. He loved spending time with his family.  He served in the National Guard, the U.S. Army and was a retired police officer from the City of St. Louis, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He will always be fondly remembered by his family as  "S.O.B.- Sweet Ole Bob"

It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn June LaBoube announces her passing on Sunday, September 2nd, 2018, at the age of 85 years. June will be lovingly remembered by her children Jim, David, and Becky. June will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Amanda, Stephen and Benjamin. June was preceded in death by her beloved daughters Deborah and Donna. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Opal and Bernice.

Daniel R. Shear

March 17, 1962 - September 3, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel R. Shear announces his passing on September 3, 2018, at his favorite place, the Mill Creek camp ground, at the age of 56 years. 

A St. Louis-city native, Dan was born in 1962.  He graduated from Lutheran South high school and worked loyally at Concordia Publishing House for 35 years.  Dan served St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church as an Elder.  He enjoyed daily walks with his precious puppy Chloe, watching the Cardinals, fishing, and camping in Arkansas.   

Dan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 23 years, Peggy Shear; brother Ted (Therese) Shear; brother-in-law Richard Sept, niece Wendy Vlieks, nephew Shawn Sept, five great-nieces and 3 great-nephews.  Memories of Dan will be cherished by his Mill Creek “family” Marie, Ed, Shari, Debbie, Dean, Vickie, and Jerry.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Frank and Elsie Shear, in-laws Tommy and Bonnie Jones, and sister-in-law Rose Sept.

Cheryl Pigg-Larsen went home to be with the Lord July 25, 2018. Loving mother of Sharon (Chad) Snow; beloved wife of Charles A. Larsen, Jr.;  dear sister of Angie Hollins and Roni Boyer; dear daughter of the late Sharon (nee Fisher) Pigg; Loving daughter-in-law, niece, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Cheryl loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially her daughter, Sharon.  She had an amazing laugh and made everyone around her smile, she never met a stranger. She loved traveling and living life to the fullest. She had a very colorful personality and loved wearing tie dye to brighten her world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Pastor James Anthony Johnston

1942-2018

James Johnston, of Morse Mill, was born February 16, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Leonard and Thelma (nee Bowersox) Johnston and went to heaven on July 19, 2018 at the age of 76 years and 5 months.

He is survived by his wife Becky Jo (nee Hackney) Johnston of Morse Mill, Missouri, three daughters; Tambra Lynn (Steven) Wiley, Angela Dawn (Paul) Neuschwander and Christina Joy Johnston; four grandchildren; Sean Michael (Haleigh) Wiley and Sondra Lynn Wiley, Gretchen Ann Neuschwander and Maxwell Dutch Neuschwander; and one great-granddaughter, Vivian Mae. He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews; Christopher Pfyl, Tonya Pfyl, David (Amy) Hackney, Holly (Nathaniel) Rogers, and Suzanne Siler and the late Jeffrey Siler, two great nieces and four great nephews; Lucas and Hazel Rogers, Hannah and Ezra Hackney, Christian, Caiden, and Corey Siler, three sister-in-law and three brother-in-law; Barbara Pfyl, Ben (Phyllis) Hackney, Brenda (Ed) Siler and a host of many cousins.

Brother Jim was pastor of Morse Mill Baptist Church for 37 years, he retired in 2009.  He was still a member and attended Morse Mill Baptist Church. After his retirement he continued to preach part-time at various churches until his memory began to fail him.  He truly enjoyed telling everyone including strangers that "Jesus loved them and so did he."  He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Alfreida M. Ferrell

November 4, 1922 - July 15, 2018

Alfreida Ferrell was born November 4, 1922 in St Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late William O. and Lillie Mae (nee Hood) Deck. She spent her childhood and early adult years living in Lafayette Square. She later moved to South County, Shaw neighborhood and California.  Her last days where spent in St. Louis. She was married to George W. Ferrell who died in 1970.  She had two children; Jerald M. Sr., and Kristy Elaine; one brother, Floyd and one sister, Hazel. 
She was dedicated to her family, raising her children and working part time in the family hotel business and teaching tap dance.  After the death of her husband, she took full time employment at Monsanto Chemical Co's Queeny plant where her husband worked before his death.  
Alfreida was known for her generous and friendly nature and among the family for her drive and focus on the things most important to her; the well being of her family and enjoying life to its fullest.  She is survived by her son, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Harry Hennemann Baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Loving husband of 64 years of Judy (nee Lawson) Hennemann; beloved father of Richard (Vicky) Hennemann and Diana (Jeff) Walker; our dear grandfather, great grandfather; brother; brother-in-law; uncle and friend to many.

Harry Hennemann retired from Local Teamsters 600, he served as President of the State of Missouri Elks and was active in serving the Veterans of the State of Missouri. He enjoyed serving his community and helping everyone. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Carolyn was very athletic, she was a 3 time state champion for the state of Florida for wrestling, and attended Missouri Baptist University.  She enjoyed going to the gym, hanging out with her friends, and she was devoted to her cat, Colby. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Passed away suddenly at home on July 5th, 2018 

Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rita and cherished daughter, Dawn. Beloved son of the late Lawrence and Josephine (nee Perano) Zeitz; dear brother-in-law of Janet Cusick, Richard (Judy) Cusick and Wayne (LeeAnn) Cusick; our dear uncle and friend.

He loved traveling and being with his family, playing golf, watching and feeding his birds. Peanut butter treats were his favorite, he would put PB on just about anything. Joe was loved for his big heart and quirky humor.  He will be missed each and every day.
